I'm Dayna — a 36-year-old Texan with a lifelong sweet tooth and the flour-dusted hands to prove it. My love affair with baking started the day I saw my mom drop biscuit dough into hot oil and turn it into donuts. From then on, Sundays meant big breakfasts, crowded tables, and a girl who couldn’t be dragged out of the kitchen.

Fast forward: I chased my passion to culinary school, worked in restaurants, and even launched my first bakery, Love & Lattice. It was sweet — but also exhausting, and eventually I traded bags of sugar for spreadsheets in the tech world. For six years I lived in Excel instead of flour, and learned a lot — mainly that my heart belonged in the kitchen.

Enter Daphne Meadows: my fearless alter-ego, defender of the sweet life, and patron saint of cozy pop tarts. Daphne is that aunt who warms you pastries on a Monday morning because she knows Mondays are tough. She’s warm, witty, and a little nostalgic — just like the small-batch bakes I create today.
